Law Clerk (Part-Time)

Kang Haggerty, seeks a law student to fill its open Law Clerk role for the Spring and Fall Semesters. This role will concentrate primarily on document review, legal writing, and legal research. Typically, the broad range of duties assigned to a law clerk at Kang Haggerty will include conducting legal research, preparing memos, drafting legal documents, proofreading documents drafted by attorneys, verifying citations in legal briefs, and assisting attorneys during depositions and courtroom proceedings.


This part-time position is based out of the Philadelphia office.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research case law

• Prepare legal memos

• Document review on Relativity and CS Disco

• Review and interpret legal documents and legal arguments

• Assist Attorneys in preparing and writing briefs

• Help Attorneys prepare for client meetings, depositions, court hearings, and other legal proceedings



SKILLS

• 3.5 GPA or higher

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong legal writing and research skills

• Flexible schedule and commitment to attendance

• Excellent communication and document management skills

• Willingness to conduct extensive research, both electronically and otherwise

• Interest in commercial litigation

• Knowledge or background in the following is preferred:

  • Adobe Pro
  • Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in law firm setting
  • Experience with eDiscovery software such as Relativity or CS Disco
